Bryon Stewart is a dedicated artist whose creative journey spans over 30 years. Though largely self-taught, his extensive experience has led to a constantly evolving body of work driven by a deep, personal vision. He maintains an "emerging artist" perspective, having operated quietly under the radar for much of his career, allowing him to focus purely on the integrity of his craft.
Bryon's foundational artistic development took place during his time at Vashon Island High School in the creatively vibrant community of Vashon Island, Washington. Exposure to independent instructors and the naturally inspiring landscape of the Puget Sound served as a powerful incubator for his unique aesthetic. Today, Bryon continues to draw upon this rich history to create art that is both seasoned by years of practice and alive with the energy of discovery.
On November 20th, Bar Americano presents “Singer Songwriter Sessions,” an open mic night hosted by local acoustic duo Soulcem. Join us for an evening of live music featuring artists from Edmonds and beyond, performing both original songs and favorite covers. This community-centered event celebrates local creativity and connection. Photos and videos will be captured throughout the evening and shared with participating musicians. Artists are encouraged to bring their instruments and share their sound (PA system provided). Patrons are invited to enjoy an intimate evening of live performance, great drinks, and local talent at Bar Americano.

Koenig Financial Group // Elisabeth McKinley
120 5th Ave S, open Monday - Thursday 8am-5pm
SEE ART DURING THIRD THURSDAY ART WALK ON NOVEMBER 20TH 5-8PM ONLY
Elisabeth McKinley is a painter inspired by the natural world that we live in and is all around us. Her style has been described as “simplified surrealism” and her work is characterized by vivid color and imagery that is just a little out of the ordinary from what you might expect. As an artist, Elisabeth believes that creating by hand keeps us more in touch with our humanity, and taking care of nature is a duty in our shared human nature, if we are so courageous to be stewards of this planet we all share.
With a degree in Global Sustainability from Central Washington University, Elisabeth’s lifelong love for art has also been reignited by moving to Edmonds in 2018 and being inspired to create by painting and immersing in visual art again. This series offers a playful and freer version of her work, where color creates movement and texture on the canvas, and gives a view through the lens of perceived imperfections to see how everything in the natural world seems to be perfectly designed.
MaJe Gallery // Bonnie AuBuchon
409 Main St, open Tuesday - Thursday noon-4pm, Friday - Saturday 11am-5pm
SEE ART ALL MONTH DURING BUSINESS HOURS AND ART WALK ON NOVEMBER 20TH 5-8PM
After first constructing the shape of her piece from sterling silver (usually), AuBuchon uses a combination of opaque and translucent enamels, interspersed with tiny geometric pieces of gold or silver leaf. It takes many layers to achieve a thickness that shows depth and reveals the leaf layers in between the enamel layers. It is a meticulous process that produces works of unusual beauty.
AuBuchon describes her approach to jewelry making like this: “Jewelry design is a very technical and somewhat scientific medium. Metal can be stretched, melted, formed, flattened, textured, cast and so much more. It has few limitations but a piece of jewelry can be ruined in an instant. Although I am skilled in lost wax casting, I prefer to fabricate from sheet and wire. This is an assortment of methods I most enjoy, taking a seemingly rigid material and forming it into a wearable piece of art.”

Photo HQ // Ashley-Maria, Scott Lacy, Yuri Shvets & Robyn Hartzell
186 Sunset Ave, open Monday - Friday 9am-5:30pm, Saturday 10am-4pm
SEE ART ALL MONTH DURING BUSINESS HOURS AND ART WALK ON NOVEMBER 20TH 5-8PM
Ashley-Maria is a fine art photographer based in Edmonds, Washington. Working in black-and-white film, digital photography, and mordançage (a rare darkroom process that alters silver gelatin prints to create lifted, veiled textures) she captures the quiet beauty of nature and transformation. Her images often reveal subtle textures, shifting light, and the delicate balance between presence and change. Blending traditional and experimental techniques, Ashley-Maria creates photographs that invite viewers to pause and see the fleeting moments of the natural world in a more intimate way.
Scott Lacy became interested in photography when his grandfather gifted him an Olympus point-and-shoot film camera in high school. After reconnecting with photography through parenting for the better part of the last decade, he’s been rediscovering his passion for film and analog photography—collecting vintage gear, experimenting with different techniques, and embracing the slower, more intentional process that comes with shooting on film. His go-to setup is his trusty Olympus OM-2n loaded with Kodak Gold, a combo that perfectly matches his love for capturing the beauty in everyday life—quiet moments, small details, and fleeting light that often go unnoticed.
Yuri Shvets calls Edmonds home since 2022. He is a creative director by day and a passionate photographer after hours. He is a proud member of Seattle Street Photography club. He's also a member of "No Ordinary Eyes", an international photography group based in Ireland. Yuri's obsession with photography goes back to 2003 when he ventured off to see Europe for the first time. Along with unforgettable memories he brought back a copious number of photos. However, unlike the typical tourist, he wasn't interested in taking selfies next to iconic landmarks. Instead, he felt intrigued by the obscure streets, back alleys, and strangers. These little vignettes help him tell the story of each place in a more personal and nuanced way. Yuri's recent trip to Morocco is a vivid example of his artistic approach. His photos capture the authenticity of this exotic land and hopefully inspire others to embark on their own journey of discovery.
Robyn Hartzell is a Seattle-based photographer with a passion for travel photography. She has explored and documented over 50 countries, working with both digital and 35mm film formats. Her journey with photography began in middle school, developing her first rolls of film in the darkroom, a craft she continues to practice to this day. Her work is driven by a deep appreciation for the beauty found in everyday life across the globe, captured through a lens of curiosity and a spirit of adventure. The photographs featured in this gallery were taken during her travels in Tanzania, using a Canon AE-1 and a 50mm lens. Each print is traditionally developed by Robyn in the darkroom on fiber-based paper.

Spud Fish & Chips // Ana Morrill
174 Sunset Ave S, open daily 10am-8pm
SEE ART DURING THIRD THURSDAY ART WALK ON NOVEMBER 20TH 5-8PM ONLY
Ana Morrill’s art is all about illustrating everyone’s beauty and light.
Stars have been showing up in her work for years. It originally started for esthetic reasons but grew into something more when she moved to London for art school. She was in a new city and seeking any comfort she could find. Then there it was, a shape. Something she had drawn a hundred times and they were everywhere! Stars became a sign of good luck. Seeing them would be a gift from the universe, a sign that there was good on the way. Then Ana started seeing people as stars. Seeing their smiles, how strangers went about their day, not knowing them but still seeing their light.
Looking for the light is not a way to ignore the sad things going on around us. Rather, Ana believes it gives us the opportunity to look at tragedy from a perspective of abundance. Instead of being consumed by the darkness, we can let our light shine and find ways to share it with those who need it.
