Amanda Houston's show titled "Inspired by Light" features paintings which capture the relationships of color, composition and texture in her paintings. This theme runs through her paintings in this show, and we invite you to come and see this beauty for yourself.

When Shelley was young she used to watch Bob Ross paint his fluffy clouds and insist there were no mistakes when it came to creating. He inspired her with his belief that everyone could paint. When her youngest son went to first grade in 2013, the house was quiet. Shelley had the space to linger, to ponder, to create. And she started to paint. It became a place of unveiling for Shelley. A light upon the shadows. Seeing the dark and light in every moment.

Epulo Bistro // Becca Lavin & Wendy Rader-Konofalski

190 Sunset Ave, open Sunday - Thursday 4-8:30pm , Friday - Saturday 3-9:30pm
SEE ART ALL MONTH DURING BUSINESS HOURS AND ART WALK ON MAY 16TH 5-8PM

Becca Lavin started painting in 2020 when her 20 year old private massage therapy practice closed its doors for the last time. Becca's art is mainly abstract or representational abstract using every medium that is within reach. It is restless, colorful and textured with a mind of its own. If there is a theme, she hasn't found it yet. Perhaps, Freedom. By the time she finishes a painting there is usually a deep understanding that has surfaced, for her. She leaves the rest to the observer as that is one of the magical things about abstract. The utter subjectiveness of what comes through to the observer. "I love that about abstract!"

Wendy Rader-Konofalski is a local artist who started painting later in life. A brush with death and seven weeks in the hospital and a long recovery may have worked a form of magic on her brain that opened up a portal into a creativity that she never knew existed. Wendy paints on canvas with acrylics, but often use mixed media elements such as charcoal and ink. She enjoys including collage in her work. She paints abstract works and landscapes as well as small florals. Wendy views her work as a sort of symbiotic relationship: herself as artist, and you as viewer.

In 2023, he opened a pop-up studio gallery in Pioneer Square, part of the Seattle Restored program, to showcase emerging artists and foster collaboration within Seattle’s art scene.
Inspired by food and visual language, Nino mixes elements like a home chef, creating something enjoyable. With contrasts, harmonies, and playful titles, Nino’s art is a fun process with a quiet message. It’s a way to explore diversity and unity, using food as a metaphor. Each ingredient represents our shared human experience. In simple terms, Nino’s mission is to share the joy of life through art, inviting viewers to feel alive and find peace in their hearts.
